TROPICAL Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) 2 has been raised in Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Islands, Apayao and Ilocos Norte due to Tropical Depression Odette, the state weather bureau said Thursday, October 12.
In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Odette was spotted at 125 kilometers east of Appari, Cagayan.
Pagasa also said that as of 10 p.m. Thursday, Odette has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 80 (kph).
Areas under TWCS 1 are Isabela, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao and Ilocos Sur.
The tropical depression is expected to make landfall in Santa Ana, Cagayan Thursday and expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday, October 13.
