SENATOR Antonio Trillanes IV seeks to remove the educational requirement for real estate agents.
The Real Estate Service Act requires agent to have at least two years of college to be accredited by the Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service
But Trillanes filed a bill simply requiring sales agents to undergo "relevant education" to qualify as real estate salesman.
"By giving more persons access to employment opportunities, this bill aims to provide a fertile ground for employment generation to more qualified persons," said Trillanes.
The senator added that real estate has become a major area of business and has "a healthy and bright future."(Jonathan de Santos/Sunnex)
