"He has left a legacy and has touched so many. We will truly miss him. My idol and inspiration. RIP MJ! God bless you! This has to be one of the saddest days in music history," she lamented.
For an upcoming singer like Viva artist Dannieboi Farmer, it has been a very sad moment hearing that the man behind young music artists was gone. "Michael Jackson influenced every R&B or pop artist that came after him. I am deeply saddened that he passed away, I actually did not want to believe it at first but then I cried like a child when I watched the news. That's how much he means to me. And I'm sure all his fans feel the same.”
"I would not even be making music if it wasn't for MJ. Nobody will ever be as big and talented as him. Pure musical genius. A huge loss to the music industry. He is the reason music videos became a staple, he created new sounds with clashing of genres, he created original outfits and dances, awed audiences with passionate performances each time he hit the stage. MJ has passed, but his music will live on! He left an untouchable legacy. May you rest in peace MJ! We love you," he said.
Singer-actress ZsaZsa Padilla meanwhile said that she was not surprised by Michael's death and lucky that she had a chance to see the King of Pop in his 50 years of life. "I have the feeling he would die young... but I am just lucky to watch him live in one of his concerts."
Not only singers are affected but even TV host Arnel Ignacio. He expressed: "I don't know him and yet a part of me died. He sang for millions yet when you listen to him it is as if he sang only for you. Goodbye King Michael."
Michael died of cardiac arrest Thursday. He left behind three children, namely: Prince Michael I, Paris, and Prince Michael II.
He was known for his hit songs “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “I’ll Be There,” and "Thriller" which earned eight Grammy awards and became the world's biggest selling record of all time.
He has been an inspiration to several popular artists today including Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Usher, and Chris Brown. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
