Winners of local position are proclaimed after election results have been canvassed at the level of the Provincial Board of Canvassers (PCOC).

As of 6 p.m., a total of 67,987 out of 76,430 precincts or 88.95 percent have transmitted their raw election results to the main server at the Comelec.

Canvassing for senators and party-lists by the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) is on-going at the Philippine International Convention Center, control center of the 2010 automated elections.

Comelec chairman Jose Melo said that senators and party-lists are targeted to be proclaimed on or before Friday.

Proclamation for president and vice president on the other hand will be conducted by two houses of the Congress on May 31.

But results of the consolidated raw votes from precincts will be released by the Comelec once 100 percent of the election returns are transmitted. (Angela Casauay/Sunnex)
