Adamson ladies still unbeaten in UAAP softball

ADAMSON University firmed up its bid of clinching the outright championship berth with an accompanying twice-to-beat advantage in the 75th UAAP softball tournament after subduing National University on Saturday.
The Lady Falcons now needed only two wins to make it again the finals as the girls upped their record to 10-0 after the match held at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium in Manila.
University of Santo Tomas nipped Ateneo de Manila 6-4, while University of the Philippines defeated University of the East, 5-2 in the other matches.
As a result, the race for the second finals seat became more interesting after the Tigresses and the Lady Maroons forced a three-way tie with the Lady Bulldogs in second place at 6-4.
The Lady Warriors slipped to 4-7 card, while the Lady Archers and the Lady Eagles fell to 2-8 and 2-9 slates, respectively. (Virgil Lopez/Sunnex)
