DLSU beats Ateneo to force game 3

THE De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers defeated Ateneo Blue Eagles in the Game 2 of the UAAP Season 80 basketball finals, 92-83, Wednesday, November 29, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The defending champions were behind by 21 points in the first half. However the Green Archers picked themselves up and took the lead 60-58 with over 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and finished the game with a 9-point lead.

Game 3 is set on Sunday, December 3. The Blue Eagles won Game 1, 76-70, last Saturday, November 25.

DLSU's Ben Mbala was named back-to-back Most Valuable Player, with him in the Mythical 5 are his teammate Ricci Rivero, Ateneo's Thirdy Ravena, National University’s J-Jay Alejandro, and University of the East’s Alvin Pasaol. (SunStar Philippines)
