UST Global to hire 1,000 IT professionals

ALISO VIEJO, California -- UST Global (UST), a leading provider of end-to-end IT, BPO services and solutions for the Global 1000 market, announced recently that it will expand its workforce in Manila, Philippines by hiring 1,000 new recruits.

Over the next few years, UST expects to bring the head count at this IT services and BPO center to over 5,000.

The announcement reflects the growing demand for the company’s outsourcing services and strengthens the Philippines’ presence as UST’s second largest location outside the United States, following India.

“UST is grateful for the help and support from the government of Philippines in establishing and expanding our presence here,” said Joe Nalkara, chief operating officer for UST Global. “The natural cultural compatibility with the US and time zone efficiency make Philippines an important part of our growing Asian presence and long term global strategy.”

UST has invested on Philippines to take advantage of the country’s highly skilled IT workforce. With the new, expanded UST Global facility scheduled to open in January 2010, the newly hired IT professionals can expect a best-in-class work environment and opportunities to support global companies in achieving their strategic goals.

UST’s multi-location geographical reach allows professionals to operate from various locations where UST and its clients operate.

“Our growth and strong customer relationships with global companies gives the newly hired professionals an opportunity to build an accelerated career and exposure to processes and new technologies,” added Nalkara.

“Around the world UST has been re-writing the rules in outsourcing with key focus on transforming client businesses to take advantage of market opportunities. This expansion in the Philippines offers opportunities that can transform careers for the country’s talented IT professionals,” he said.
