Aklan politicians vow support for Teodoro (10:30 a.m.)

MANILA – Aklan Governor Carlito Marquez and Representative Joven Miraflores led dozens of locals officials in giving support to Lakas-Kampi-CMD standard-bearer Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro.

Their support was given during a recent forum organized by a party-list group at the Legaspi stadium.

Aside from the governor and lone congressman of the province, Presidential Assistant for Western Visayas Raul Banias said that 15 of Aklan’s 17 mayors have also declared their full support for Teodoro.

Among the municipalities include: Altavas, Banga, Batan, Buruanga, Ibajay, Lezo, Libacao, Madalag, Nabas, New Washington, Numancia, and Tangalan.

“Both Governor Marquez and Congressman Miraflores held Teodoro with high regards, admiring his accomplishments, education and his concrete plans for the country,” Banias said. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
