MANILA -- A female actress said she was surprised when she found out about the unexpected hospitalization of her co-star.

Angel Locsin, Diether Ocampo’s co-star in “Only You,” said she was texted by another co-star Sam Milby during the wee hours of Tuesday to inform her on what happened to Diether.

“Tinext ako ni Sam (Milby) mga 5 a.m. or 4 a.m. Sinabi niya na kawawa si Kuya Di. Sabi ko, ‘Bakit? Anong nangyari kay Di?’ Sabi nya nag-seizure nga daw at nasa hospital,” she related.

Upon hearing the news, he immediately reached Diet. She failed to get a reply from Diet himself, but she called the actor’s road manager. “Tinext ko agad si Diet, pero nung time na yun may mga test na ginagawa so hindi pa sakin nakareply. Pero kausap ko si Ate Macky kanina, yung handler niya, at sabi niya okay na daw si Diet.”

She also shared that Diet returned to the country Tuesday night and was confined to an undisclosed hospital here. “Nandito na siya pero kailangan pa niya na mag-pahinga.”

She refused to say something about the condition of Diet. “Kung anuman ang kondisyon ni Diet, siguro siya nalang ang magsabi.”

She said she is praying for his immediate recovery. “Pagdasal nalang natin na maging okay na talaga ang health niya para bukas back to work na siya.”

Diet was rushed to a hospital in the United States on Monday after suffering a seizure while rehearsing for the Star Magic world concert tour.

He was reportedly in a state of comatose but was revived. He is now in stable condition. He underwent several tests and, until now, is under observation. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
