Arroyo is back in Palace (3:01 p.m.)

MANILA -- President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo checked out of the Asian Medical Center around 2 p.m. today, Thursday, with a clean bill of health.

Press Secretary Cerge Remonde said the President underwent certain checkups while on quarantine and all the results were okay.

She has returned to Malacanang, added Remonde.

On Tuesday, Arroyo cancelled her Cabinet meeting after voluntarily going on a self-quarantine following her 13-day travel to Japan, United States, Colombia, Brazil, and Hong Kong.

She decided to observe a four-day quarantine, instead of the five to 10 days previously advised by the Department of Health, and observe herself for any flu-like symptoms or those similar to the Influenza A(H1N1). (Sunnex)
