During a program, Lapus conducted a briefing on the President’s education legacy.

"It is important that our youth today sees the value of education and use this tool to advance themselves in the nation," Arroyo said in her speech.

Arroyo announced the approval of the budget for the training of teachers in English language.

The President bragged about her government’s scholarship programs that purportedly benefited thousands of Filipino students in private schools.

She also said the government has spent P36 billion for technical schools and skills training.

Arroyo was met by Laguna officials Calamba City Mayor Joaquin Chipeco, Governor Teresita Lazaro, Representatives Justin Marc Chipeco and Dan Fernandez, and Barangay Real chairman Florencio Morales. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
