MANILA -- President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III declared August 20 as special non-working holiday in Lucena City.

Under Proclamation 14, the President gave way for the people of Lucena to celebrate the Charter Day anniversary of the city.

“It is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lucena, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies," the proclamation read.


The proclamation was signed by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa and Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Jose Amor Amorado dated August 16. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
