MANILA--The official ballots being produced at the National Printing Office (NPO) will have two sizes, an official of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Monday.
Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal said the size of the ballots will still be 8.5 (width) by 25 (height) inches except for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm) ballots, which will follow the same width but will be two inches longer in height.
Ballots for Armm would be longer because of the Arabic translations, the commissioner explained.
Armm ballots will also be printed ahead compared with the other parts of the country because of its longer size and of the previous proposal to hold early voting in the Armm.
The Comelec will be printing a total of 50,723,734 ballots, the same number of registered voters in the country. (Ferdinand G. Patinio)
