JANET Jackson opens up about her brother's death on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Friday.
Janet Jackson said that their family knew of Michael's problem. In an interview she said that her family was not in denial of the issues and even tried to intervene several times.
Jackson says she finds her brother's death hard to accept even to this day.
Her brother's passing happened right when she started filming for a new movie "Why Did I Get Married Too?" Winfrey said that Jackson's emotional turmoil can be seen through the film.
However, Jackson said the movie project was very therapeutic for her.
The emotional turmoil Jackson was dealing with, both in her role in the movie as well as personally, has affected her physically.
Jackson admits of being an emotional eater. And this has even led her to write a book about it.
Tapping into her childhood, Jackson's book answers the persistent questions everyone asks about her weight. She adds that the book would touch on self-confidence as well. (Ian Joplin Virrey/ UP Mass Comm Intern/ Sunnex)
