4 killed, 32 hurt in Sorsogon road accident-A A +A

SORSOGON (Updated 9:55 a.m.) -- Four persons, including an infant, died while 32 others were injured in a three-bus collision in this province shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) Director Leonardo Espina said in a radio report that the accident took place at the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Pawa, Matnog town around 12:30 a.m. where the Eagle Star bus driven by one Rodeto On was traversing.
Initial investigation said that the Eagle Star bus overtook another vehicle along the Maharlika Highway, resulting in it hitting a PP bus driven by one Ronnie Sulutan on the opposite lane.
The Eagle Star bus lost control and hit a Philtranco bus driven by one Mercondes Mancilla.
The Eagle Star bus was headed for Leyte province while the Philtranco bus was unloading passengers at the time of the incident.
A separate radio report said that an eight-month-old baby identified as Rochie Libuon, a passenger of the Eagle Star bus, was one of the four fatalities. Three others have not been identified as of this posting.
The injured victims, including the drivers of the buses, were rushed to the nearby hospitals in the province.
Eight of those injured who were brought to the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital were identified as Rosario De Lima of St. Bernard Southern Leyte; Reynante Tarabago, 43, of Roxas Southern Leyte; Nolasco Basubas, 62, of Isabela; Mae Ann Dalida, 5, and Angie Dalida, 40, of Bucaue, Bulacan; Nelia Uso, 19; Lega De Lima, 16; and Ricky Boy De Lima, 19;
