THE University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors trounced the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats, 71-36, on Tuesday, August 23, at the New Cebu Coliseum in Cebu City.

Scoty Ntumba led the Warriors with a double-double performance scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds, followed by Conrad Catapusan who chipped 12 points, and Lucky Ecarma added 10 points to give the Warriors a double-digit margin win.

The Wildcats, however, tried to keep up with the Warriors, but fell short to the latter's solid defense, courtesy of the presence of Ntumba making it hard for the Wildcats to penetrate inside, leaving them with no choice but to shoot from outside. CIT-U went on a poor shooting night, hitting only 12 out of 69 tries.

Kint Ariar led the Wildcats with eight points, followed by Marlo Pono with seven points.

The Wildcats are still winless after five outings. While the Warriors improve their record to 2-1 (win-loss)
