MANILA -- More than 1,800 fans trooped to the University of the Philippines (UP) Theater to witness boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao in successfully defending his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown against Ghanaian challenger Joshua Clottey.
Seasoned broadcaster and Lakas-Kampi-CMD senatorial bet Rey Langit showed up for the event, with his campaign posters and pocket calendars distributed to boxing fans.
Organizers led by the UP Scintilla Juris Fraternity said they were satisfied of the turnout in the live feed that costs P350 per person. (Virgil Lopez/Sunnex)
