ANGELES CITY -- The City Government here is expecting 10,000 athletes and delegation from different provinces in the region for the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet starting February 22.
In line with this, City Administrator Mark Allen Sison said Mayor Francis "Blueboy" Nepomuceno has instructed the local police led by Senior Superintendent Danilo Bautista to set up security measures and the traffic plans for the said event.

"There would be a good number of people coming to Angeles City and we hope to make their stay here pleasant with at least no untoward incidents," Sison said.
He is advising the public to brace for possible vehicular traffic on February 22-the opening of the CLRAA Meet.
Sison said that since February 22 is Edsa People Power Revolution Day, traffic would be slightly light along schools. Most of the delegations would be housed in various schools of the city. The city government will provide regular police visibility along schools and locations were the events will be held.
Angeles City will be hosting half of the CLRAA games along with Bulacan.
Mayor Francis Nepomuceno, for his part, said additional funds are set to be approved, on top of the usual resources, to cover the costs for uniforms, allowances, vitamins, mineral drinks and meals to ensure that the needs of Angeles City athletes are well-provided for.
"We hope to bag some of the sporting events to be able to qualify in the Palarong Pambansa and bring more honor to the city," Nepomuceno said.
