2 nabbed for illegal drugs

MABALACAT -- Two persons were recently apprehended in two separate operations conducted by elements of the town police drugs division.

Police identified the suspects as Paquito “Pogs” Cabrera, 41, single, of Sitio Talimundok, Barangay Dau, this town; and Romel “Balbas” Tongol, 37, married, of Phase 1, Madapdap Resettlement Center here.

Superintendent Rolly Mendoza, town police officer-in-charge, said Cabrera was caught selling shabu in Talimundok.

Tongol, on the other hand, was arrested handling marijuana leaves.

Mendoza said Cabrera was charged with drug pushing while Tongol with drug possession.

The town police already filed cases before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office against the two for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspects are currently detained at the Mabalacat Police Station.
