MABALACAT -- President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has approved the release of funds for the construction of farm-to-market roads in this first-class municipality.
This was bared Thursday by Mayor Marino "Boking" Morales who said the President has prioritized the projects as part of her rural development and food security programs.

Morales said the road projects will be implemented in 10 villages including Dau, Duquit, Lakandula, Santa Ines, Mabiga, San Francisco, among others.
"The projects are scattered in 10 different barangays and these will greatly help our farmers in transporting their produce," Morales said
Morales thanked Mrs. Arroyo saying she has been very supportive of the local government in terms of infrastructure projects and basic services programs.
"The people of Mabalacat are very grateful to the President for implementing all of these projects which greatly contributes to our socio-economic development," Morales said.
The mayor cited some of the President's flagship projects including the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, Northrail, among others.
"All of these will help us achieve our goals for our beloved town which is now aspiring to become a city because of its rapid development," Morales said.
