CLARK FREEPORT -- The Philippines’ AirAsia, the country’s newest low cost carrier, announced its flight from Clark International Airport to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

To commemorate the launch, AirAsia offers all-in promo fare of P799, one way from Clark to Kuala Lumpur starting May 9 to 13. Guests who will avail of this promo seats will be able to travel from June 9 to November 30, 2012.

“We are excited to announce that in the next few weeks, we will start operating our first regional route. Business travelers and overseas Filipino workers will welcome this new service while it provides tourists exciting choices,” AirAsia Inc. chief executive officer Maan Hontiveros said.

This new daily route, departing Clark to Kuala Lumpur at 15:15 and return flight from Kuala Lumpur LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) at 19:50, complements Malaysia AirAsia’s existing Kuala Lumpur–Clark-Kuala Lumpur flights that have been in operation since 2005.

“The additional frequency to Kuala Lumpur enables our guests especially Filipinos to have access to Malaysia’s awesome tourist destinations as well as to draw tourists from Malaysia to our amazing beaches and natural wonders in Puerto Princesa, Kalibo and Davao,” Hontiveros added.

The newest low cost Filipino carrier will operate the new route with brand new Airbus A320 operated by well-trained and experienced flight and cabin crew.

AirAsia Inc. is a 60-40 joint venture between Filipino investors Antonio Cojuangco, Michael Romero and Marianne “Maan” Hontiveros, and Malaysia’s AirAsia International Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of AirAsia Berhad, which has won SkyTrax’s best low cost airline for three consecutive years (Skytrax is the world’s largest airline and airport review site).

AirAsia’s all-in fare includes base fare, fuel surcharge, processing fee and government mandated fees such as aviation security fee and VAT. It is available online at www.airasia.com and also available via mobile at mobile.airasia.com as well as via AirAsia apps for Blackberry, iPhone and Android phones. The apps are available for download at Blackberry App World, iTunes App Store and Android Marketplace by searching for the keyword AirAsia.

Philippines’ AirAsia call center also accepts booking of regular fares via +632 588 9999 from Monday to Sunday at 0800hrs to 2100hrs (GMT +8).

Guests from Metro Manila may also purchase seats through AirAsia Travel Service Centers (ATSC) located in SM North Edsa in Quezon City and in Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

AirAsia Inc. is a Filipino Low Cost Carrier (LCC) established to serve the Philippines’ regional and domestic air travel market. For inquiry and to receive real-time updates on latest promotions, interact via facebook.com/AirAsiaPhilippines and twitter.com/AirAsiaPh.
