The Governor’s visit: An affirmation of Quota plans for 2012

THE recent visit of Quota International District 41 Gov. Emilie Simon at the City Heights Hotel in the City of San Fernando was attended by a strong membership of the beautiful and grand ladies from Quota International of Pampanga.
The visit, a regular pep talk , centered on the new trends and innovations that Quota International is going to implement for 2012 and 2013, with Quota members and clubs in the Philippines playing key roles in chartering new clubs and increasing club membership.
The visit is part of the yearly activities of the governor in keeping lady Quotarians abreast with the new developments, programs and objectives of Quota International for this year.
Simon’s challenge for the year includes the creation of junior clubs under the wing of Quota Pampanga -- a daunting task since the challenge also includes the creation of other Quota Clubs in Central Luzon leading to the north.
Early this year, Quota International of Angeles City has been chartered as among the newest Quota Clubs in Luzon. The event is also a reaffirmation of Quota’s plans and objectives.
Quota is a Latin word meaning "a share" and sharing is the motto of Quota International Inc.
Simon said Quota International has spread to 14 countries worldwide including the Philippines in 1976. There are 13 Quota clubs nationwide.
Simon also inducted Quota International of Pampanga’s newest member, Angelica Angie Hizon into the organization.
Quota International of Pampanga president Zelinda Soto believes that Hizon will greatly help in the socio-civic programs of Quota and would entice more members to join the club.
Hizon is the daughter of Pampanga’s Best Matriarch Lolita Hizon.
Currently, Quota Pampanga has been taking care of the educational needs of the Special Education (Sped) class of Pampanga High School (PHS). The governor earlier visited Special Education Scholars of PHS where she gave an orientation and updates on the ongoing projects of the local chapter.
