Tuesday, February 13, 2018

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- City Officials led by Mayor Edwin Santiago together with Department of Labor and Employment (Dole)-Pampanga Chief Arlene Tolentino led the awarding of Negosyo sa Kariton or NegoKarts to 40 ambulant vendors in the City of San Fernando on Monday.

The recipients are all residents of Northville in Barangay Calulut who were identified as ambulant vendors with child workers.

Santiago said the activity is part of the “Child Labor-Free Barangay Project” of the City Government, through its Public Employment Service Office in partnership with Dole.

The city mayor furthered that the recipients also underwent food handling seminars and medical examinations to ensure food safety and sanitation. (PR)
