CLARK FREEPORT -- The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has recognized members of Team Clark who competed in the 42.2-kilometer Subic International Marathon 2009 last October 24 and 25.
CDC officials cited, in particular, the state-owned firm's marathon athletes and the unbeaten basketball team presently competing at the Clark Basketball Tournament '09.

The marathon athletes were recognized during the CDC flag ceremonies on Monday.
The athletes include CDC Manager Juan Miguel Fuentes of the Environment Management Department Sr. Legal Officer Jon Lacanlale of the Lagal Department, Bless Gimeno of the Office of the Executive Vice President, Precy Hernandez of the Legal Department, Assistant Manager Shower Raagas of the Corporate Planning Department, Albert Sama of Public Safety Department, and Chris Chuidian of the Marketing Department.
Also in the Team Clark during the marathon race were former CDC executive assistant Billy San Juan, and the wife of Fuentes, Rina and husband of Fernandez, Noel.
CDC also extended gratitude to the children of two CDC employees who competed in the five-kilometer race.
The CDC basketball team is composed of Marlon Guevarra, Eduardo Pinlac Jr., Benjamin Bryan Pascual, Ismael Pascual, Louie Sendin, Allan Yabut, Jonathan Maniego, Alfred Lintag, June Serrano, Francis Pena and Ryan Dela Cruz. They are being coached by Aberlardo Carlos Jr. with Assistant Coach Glenn Santos.
The CDC Human Resources Department announced the on-going CDC 5th Intra-Color Bowling Tournament being held at the Family Lanes in Angeles City. Championship of the bowling tourney was slated on November 25.
The HRD initiated various sports competitions as part of its Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program.
CDC also provides gym for weightlifters aficionados and aerobics center free of charge for the regular employees of CDC and the CDC-Special Project Resources Office.
