The citation came after the search body found notable the council’s landmark ordinances and harmonious collaborative efforts with the executive department led by Mayor Oscar Rodriguez.
Dumlao said: “I have been long in the council and this honor is truly a manifestation of the hard work we do for our constituents.”
Dumlao, who chairs the council’s Committee on Peace and Order said that the fete will be their legacy to the Fernandinos.
“Now I can proudly tell my children and grandchildren that we have done what we had to do. It is all for their benefit and welfare. Even if I will leave the council in the future, I and my fellow councilors could say heads up that we have left a lasting legacy of service and dedication,” he said. (Jovi T. De Leon)
