ANGELES CITY -- Barangay Cutcut-Amor defeated Holy Angel University to snatch the 2nd Mayor Francis “Blueboy” Nepomuceno 3 on 3 Streetball Challenge Junior Division finals held at the SM Clark on October 7.
The events was participated in by 27 squads from different schools and barangays. Ten teams took part in the junior division, 9 in women and 8 teams joined in the midget. They competed in a round-robin series for the three-day event.

Barangay San Jose grabbed the title in the midget division against Bob Buan A of Barangay Santa Trinidad while the Defeaters of San Fernando stole the championship from Cool Change Assumption in women’s division.
Carlo Pangilinan was declared the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the juniors division while Leanu Ramirez in the women’s division and Michael Vargas at the midget division respectively.
Barangay Cutcut-Amor will represent the city in the Regional Streetball Finals to be held next month.
The event was organized by City Sports Officer Paul Puri, who also served as the technical director of the games.
Puri said “the event was part of the annual “Fiestang Kuliat” month-long activities focusing on a series of fun-filled activities such as sports competitions and cultural nights. The tournament is also aimed in discovering young athletes at the grassroots level.”
The activity was made possible with the full support of the city government thru the City Tourism Office led by Pie Flores, Puri added.
Among the city officials who graced the awarding ceremonies were Liga ng mga Barangay Robin Nepomuceno, Chief of Staff Gerard “Gepoy” Nepomuceno and City Councilor Pogs Suller.
