Cycling club holds bike race

ANGELES CITY --- The Angeles City Cycling Club (ACCC), in cooperation with the Clark Development Corporation and Wel’s Bike Shop, has slated a bicycle race in Clark Freeport today.
The 4th Bicycle Road Race Competition, dubbed “Pedalan Rimatihan Queng Clark 2010, consists of four categories including Professional (open), Pampanga residents, Mountain Bike, and Air Force personnel.

The ACCC has race distance for each category, 26 kilometers for Mountain Bike, 80 kilometers for Pro-Open, and 52 kilometers for Pampanga Residents.
Patrick Reyes, a member of the ACCC, said they have set a registration fee of P100 for each participant.
A racer may register at the race site at the Astro Park in Barangay Balibago here between 5:30 am – 7 am.
Reyes said the first race (Mountain Bike category) starts at 8 am.
The ACCC has prepared consolation cash prizes for 4th to 10th placers in each category.
Cyclists are advised to prepare proper identification for the pre-screening process.
“We will also implement a no helmet, no race policy,” Reyes said.
For mountain bikes, the required tire size is 1.95 and up and chain ring of 44 – 48 T.
