Soto takes helm as new QI Pampanga prexy

THE 18th Induction of Officers and Members of Quota International (QI) of Pampanga at the City Heights Hotel on Friday night saw to the club’s turnover of leadership to the charming and amiable Zelinda B. Soto, who took the presidency from immediate past president Jennifer Bonifacio who ended her term this July.
The event was attended by various QI officers from Manila, Quota International of Angeles and District Governor Emilie Simon who was the evening’s guest of honor and speaker.
Governor Emilie Simon, who graciously led the Quota Pampanga members and new officers through a set of feminine rites, also urged new QI members to aspire to contribute more to the organization.
Other notable attendees were PDG Marilou del Rosario, PDG Susan Miranda, PDST Buchay Africa, and PDST Beth Colliado, among others.
Soto said her administration will focus on more development programs for the organization, improved membership and a host of meaningful and sincere socio-civic programs for women and children beneficiaries.
Soto also hailed the term of past president Bonifacio. Bonifacio, for her part, said she was able to accomplish another club year with striking achievements and added that QI Pampanga is now ready to achieve even more through newly minted president Soto.
Joining the roaster of officers this year are president-elect Germinia Villanueva, vice president Atty. Jocel Panlilio, secretary Jennifer Bonifacio, recording secretary Lalaine Baluyut, treasurer DST Bernadette Galang, asst. treasurer Myrna Canlas, auditor Rose Yabut and PRO Gertrudes Bondoc.
The various committees for this year are headed by directors PP Vilma Caluag and PP Divine Tulio (Ways and Means), Lina Velez (Service to Speech and Hearing Impaired), PP Monz Laus (Service to Disadvantaged Women and Children), PP Malou Garbes and Nimya Yalung (Fellowship and Fun), and PP Myra Manabat (Hand-In-Hand).
Soto said her term will also be focused on continuing the achievements and ongoing programs of Quota Pampanga and in focusing more on opening networks with similar cause-oriented groups.
She said her term will be marked by a renewed effort to increase the socio-civic programs of Quota Pampanga and to uphold the institutional achievements of her predecessor.
