CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Laus Group of Companies (LGC) treated on Saturday its valued customers to an early and special Christmas treat, taking them to Broadway for a rare evening of music, magic and drama.
For the first time in Central Luzon, LGC customers, friends and guests were wowed by the pool of CLTV 36 talents from Pampanga and Central Luzon during “Christmas at Broadway: A Musical Special, at the Carworld Pampanga showroom, with eyes and ears glued on the stage for takes from among others Les Miserables, Evita, Mama Mia, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Miss Saigon and cuts from Disney magic and samplings from Michael Jackson and other contemporary stage presentations.
"This is a very special event every year for our valued clients. What makes it more special this year is that the stage is all for our very own CLTV 36 talents from Pampanga and Central Luzon. Part of our CSR, we are giving our very own talents that chance to be discovered someday and show their best, as well as gift our customers and friends with something that is unique, like this Broadway musical," said LGC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Levy P. Laus.
Long-time LGC client Bobby Belmonte, who drove all the way from Quezon City to watch the musical, told Sun.Star Pampanga that he and his family have long been looking forward to the Christmas treat.
"Every year, we look forward with excitement to the Laus Group gift to its clients. This is a very good event for us, something that adds more to the high satisfaction we get from the company as customers," he said.
For third district Representative Oscar Rodriguez and Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. vice-chairman Rene Romero, the LGC treat gives a "simple respite" from the trauma wrought by Super Typhoon Yolanda to Filipinos as whole.
"We all know that it will be a sad Christmas for our fellowmen in the Visayas. We share in their pain and anguish. And this simple treat by the Laus Group gives us all respite from the trauma of the calamity. To us, it is a sincere gift to friends which makes for a more meaningful and caring Christmas," they said.
The one hour-44 minute "Christmas at Broadway: A Musical Special" was directed by Fernandino artist Jay-Ar Hipolito with live orchestra accompaniment under the baton of Prof. Edwin Lumanog of the Magsilbi Tamu Brass Band 919.
