CLARK FREEPORT -- Senatorial aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos has lauded the efforts of Clark officials to generate jobs in this former US military facility.
“That is a good thing, the mere fact that they created jobs in Clark,” Marcos said.

He said the number of workers in Clark now reaches 60,000, twice the number during the old days of US Air Force base.
“We are hoping to do this in other parts of the country, to generate jobs for the people,” he said.
Marcos lamented that the National Government failed to help local communities.
This, he said, prompted him to run for senator.
Among the programs Marcos vowed to work on are health care, agriculture, education, power generation and fight corruption.
“The citizens depend on agriculture. We will help farmers in terms of facilities, farm to market roads,” he said.
