IF YOU haven’t sampled German food at Lilet’s CAFÉ D in Angeles City, well, you are missing something big time! Armed with the know-how and passion for cooking, Lilet and Erich Reichardt just added another “must-go-place” to Angeles City when they started offering authentic German and international cuisine in this side of the city.
With affordable eat treats like German sausages (Hungarian, bockwursts, etc) and “crispy pata”, Asian noodle and curry dishes, Lilet’s CAFÉ D, located along Teodoro St. Sta. Maria 1 in Balibago, Angeles City (turn right at Manson Drug Checkpoint) speaks of warmth, and homey atmosphere, a perfect scene for groups, couples and families who just want to achieve a relaxed mood teamed with delectable food.
The Reichardts have lived in Germany, Malaysia and Quezon City for years, and their love for cooking international dishes brought them back to Angeles City to share the goodness of the German cuisine.
Lilet’s CAFÉ D offers a wide selection of foods and beverages from countries all over the world especially from Germany and Europe. Its mouthwatering menu takes pride with Chef Lilet’s grilled crispy Bavarian pork knuckles which are as good as the German beef rolls (rinds roulade) stuffed with gherkins, bacon, onions and garlic and its various type of Schnitzels, which are all made with the freshest ingredients, all from scratch! Order an Indian Chicken Masala with Roti Parata, an Australian beef stew or a fresh water grilled Rainbow trout and you will know why people enjoy eating at CAFÉ D! Take a pick from any of their 22 sandwich varieties--truly affordable!
Enjoy your stay more at Lilet’s CAFÉ D. With its reasonably priced dishes plus big serving portions, one can choose from its great selection of soups, entrées, breakfast and daily specials authentically prepared by Chef Lilet and team- recipes from countries and continents like Germany, Europe, Australia, America, Philippines, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and others, 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm. CAFÉ D comes out with its regular monthly specials, and is also open to private celebrations for 60-70 people, with reservations and 50% downpayment. It follows high health standards, too for food preparation that they have adapted the open concept of food prep-where guests can actually see meticulous preparation of their orders and you can walk through their tidy kitchen.

For those with a sweet tooth, check out the café’s latest addition to the menu -- sinful chocolate cake boasting of walnuts, eggs and butter. SINFUL! :) Partnered with freshly-ground and brewed coffee! PERFECT!
Lilet and Erich Reichardt, both professionals and entrepreneurs in their own right, were inspired to open this café for their passion for cooking and eating German cuisine. Lilet, who is a certified chef, manages the place “hands-on”, literally preparing the food when she has the time. She has managed and cooked for over nine years in the family’s Deutsches Haus Quezon City, Deutsches Haus & Cafe Deutchland both in Angeles City and Speisegaststätte Flavors in Germany. These outlets have been a hang-out for some celebrities and showbiz personalities like the Eigenmanns (Mark Gil, Cherrie, Rosemarie Gil) during their heydays and caters to professionals/yuppies as well. They went back to Angeles City and made its own mark at Café Deutschland along Friendship Road near Clark Freeport Zone in 2011. And as location really mattered, Lilet’s CAFÉ D opened at Sta. Maria 1 Balibago to cater to more of its target market. Enterprising Erich, on the other hand, had his career started in India as a volunteer in an orphanage and has been active for 40 years in Asia setting up technical training institutions and companies in precision manufacture in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and China. Technical as he is, Erich has been very supportive of his wife’s food business until now. In fact, he has been doing the public relations aspect for this business especially when the Chef is busy.
