2 killed in SCTEx crash

MABALACAT --- Two persons, including a Danish national, were killed in a road accident which transpired along the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) here on Tuesday.
Police identified the fatalities as Steffen Finn Almind, 42, Danish national, of 4-5 Maria Clara Street, Josefaville Subdivision Angeles City and Santiago Garcia Jr., 49, of Hacienda Dolores, Porac, Pampanga.
Superintendent Rolly Mendoza, town police chief said Almind was driving his Suzuki 1000-CC motorcycle at a portion of the freeway in Barangay Mabiga here when he hit an Isuzu Elf truck.
Almind fell on his bike after reportedly overtaking the truck driven by Jonathan Camaya, 32, also of Hacienda Dolores, Porac Pampanga.
Camaya lost control of the truck which tilted on its side. Garcia, who fell through the vehicle’s window, sustained serious injuries after being jammed by the truck.
Camaya and his other companion identified as Javier Anicete were also injured in the mishap. They were taken to the Saint Rafael Foundation Medical Center in Barangay Dau here for treatment.
Almind’s body was brought to the Pangilinan Funeral Parlor for autopsy.
