3 nabbed for illegal gambling

SASMUAN -- Police arrested on Wednesday three suspects allegedly involved in illegal gambling.

Police reports revealed that the incident transpired along the roadside of Sta. Lucia Parochial School in Barangay Sta. Lucia.

Initial investigations disclosed that while elements of Sasmuan police were conducting patrol along the said area, a concerned citizen informed them of an ongoing "cara y cruz."

Responding police officers arrested suspects identified as Antonio Bernalte, 26, a resident of Barangay San Antonio; Mark Anthony Suba, 25, single, of Barangay Sta. Lucia; and Rogelio Calma, 31, a resident of Barangay San Nicolas 1st.

The suspects were caught while playing illegal game. Suspects were taken to the Sasmuan Police Station.
