ARAYAT -- Residents of Barangay Lacmit here received free medical check-up and dental services as part of the local government unit’s mandate to deliver basic health services to its constituency.

Mayor Luis Espino told Sun.Star Pampanga on Friday that the medical and dental mission is an ongoing program of his administration to deliver much-needed health services to indigent villagers in the 30 barangays in this town.

Espino said the medical mission has so far served thousands of his cabalens mostly women, children and the elderly, adding that a number of barangays have already benefitted in the monthly medical and dental mission.

He said that said project is in support of the health program being implemented by the Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda.

Barangay chairman Ruben Cabral thanked Espino, Vice Mayor Larry Trinidad and the councilors for bringing the medical and dental mission in his barangay.

Cabral said it is very timely as people from his barangay no longer need to go to the municipal hall, RHU or district hospital to seek medical attention, since the said project provides free medicines and check-up.
