Japanese firm is Clark’s top exporter-A A +A

CLARK FREEPORT — A Japanese semi-conductor firm has topped in the total exports volume of the Freeport, reaching to $196.5 million, for the month of August.
Clark Development Corporation President Felipe Antonio Remollo said the Nanox Philippines Corporation continues to be the biggest exporter with more than $77.4 million value or 39.2 percent of the total exports.
The Phoenix Semiconductor Philippines Corporation (PSPC) placed second with more than $51.1 million or 26.02 percent total exports for the month of August. PSPC is one of the newest Korean firms operating inside Clark Freeport.
Another Japanese firm, Yokohama Tire Philippines Incorporated, placed third with more than $23.9 or 12 percent; and garment factory L&T International Groups Philippines Incorporated with more than $13.8 million or 7.04 percent of the total exports for the month of August only.
HLD Clark Steel Pipe Co. Inc. followed with $6.2 million or 3.19 percent and Amertron Inc. with $6.06 or 3.08 percent on the total export in the said month.
Remollo stated that the with the trend in exports from January to July this year, last year’s US$ 1.453 billion export figure will be surpassed.
Nanox remained Clark’s top exporter with 35 percent of the more than 1 billion export volume as of August with about $444.4 million exports.
Newly opened PSPC ranked second with more or less 24 percent of the volume exports with more than $300 million.
Also in the list among top exporters are Yokohama with close to 15 percent and Lhuen Thai (L&T) with four percent of the total exports volume in the 3rd quarter.
