STO. TOMAS -- “This is true commitment as you see it,” exclaimed Laus Group of Companies chairman and Bank of Florida independent director Levy P. Laus as the region’s top rural bank re-inaugurated its Sto. Tomas branch with an entirely new look Monday morning.
“The transformation of the bank is noteworthy as it embarks on a journey they started nearly 50 years ago. They have always been forward-looking, helping people of Sto. Tomas. To me, this is what commitment is all about. Caring and assisting entrepreneurs and making a difference in the lives of others,” Laus told Sun.Star Pampanga during the branch blessing, which sports an entirely new look taking off from its culture-oriented “Atin Cu Pung Singsing.”

On Monday, the very first branch of the bank celebrated its 20th anniversary with valued clients and friends.
“The facelifting of our branches, starting with Sto. Tomas, we hope would eventually respond and even exceed expectations of our clients as we share our aspirations to preserve Kapampangan culture and heritage,” noted Bank of Florida president Teresa David-Carlos, citing of the revolutionary shift from traditional colors to the more provocative earth shades of brown and yellow.
“Pwede pala and am proud of what it represents.”
Bank consultant Dale David was just as ecstatic: “With the journey, new look and quest to serve better, clients could expect that high level of what we conceived was a one-stop business shop where you could do your transactions at the bank at one time. Coffee and tea come free,” said David.
Overjoyed clients, like Julie Zapata, owner of one of the town’s most famous barbeque houses and the very first depositor of the bank 20 years ago, profess the “change” is most welcome.
“Twenty years na pala akong banking with you with all my trust and confidence. And the change this year, ang ganda! Truly, Bank of Florida is my bank!” said Zapata.
