Lawmaker leads P32-M Leoncia Bridge groundbreaking

ANGELES CITY -- Pampanga Representative Carmelo Lazatin (1st district) led the groundbreaking of the P32-million Leoncia Bridge construction project along Clark Circumferential Road here.
Initiated by Lazatin, the project will be undertaken through the help of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Angeles City-Sub Office.

During the rites on Friday, Lazatin was joined by Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, City Council members, barangay captain Teofilo Casupanan and barangay council members.
"The construction of the Leoncia Bridge is vital to boost the economy in our district," Lazatin said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Pamintuan said the completion of the bridge would bring more investments to the city.
The construction of the 36.80-linear-meter bridge is expected to be completed on or before June 25, 2012.
As testament of his commitment to public service, Lazatin has implemented a total of P1.1 billion worth of infrastructure for the first district from 2007 to present. (Charlene Cayabyab)
