CLARK FREEPORT - Don Bosco Academy Batch 1988 and the Don Bosco Alumni Association (DBAA) - Pampanga Chapter is inviting all Bosconians and its alumni to join the "Blue Run" on January 28 at the CDC Parade Grounds.
Event chairman and technical director Melvin Fausto of DBA Batch 1988 said "Blue Run" is a fund-raising event for the benefit of indigent residents living in nearby Mabalacat town.

The Blue Run also coincides with the celebration of the annual "Foundation Day" of Saint John Bosco, Fausto added.
Fausto said the Blue Run is also held in cooperation with the Clark Development Corp. (CDC).
"Running is a rapidly growing trend in our country today. For the past years, the Clark Freeport has been our regular venue for running events and the CDC has been consistently supporting such healthy and environmental advocacy," Fausto said in a letter to CDC President Felipe Antonio B. Remollo.
Only recently, Remollo said CDC will be transforming the CDC Parade Grounds into a melting pot of various tourism-related activities.
Remollo said the CDC Parade Grounds has been a favorite venue for many tourism and sporting events. He also said the state-owned corporation has allotted P30 million for various refurbishment work inside the Freeport, which includes the Parade Grounds.
Among the refurbishment work intended for the 20-hectare Parade Grounds include lighting and illumination of its 2.3-kilometer pathway and the construction of a bike lane.
Remollo said the CDC is also planning to convert the residential area along the stretch of the Parade Grounds opposite the historic barn houses into quaint restaurants like American-style diners and alfresco cafes.
