CLARK FREEPORT -- Clark International Airport Corporation Vice President Reynaldo Catacutan announced that he will again seek the mayoralty post in the town of Capas, Tarlac province next year.
Catacutan also dismissed claims that he is eyeing the presidency of CIAC, saying that he accepted his position, through the invitation of President Aquino, to help in the development of the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA).

The CIAC official, who is a former mayor of said town, said he has been telling employees at DMIA that his term as vice president for operations in the airport may only be until December 2012, during the time of the filing of certificates of candidacy in the local polls.
Catacutan was reacting to reports that he is pushing several issues against CIAC president Victor Jose I. Luciano to get the airport's highest post.
Catacutan linked Luciano in the cable theft case inside the aviation complex last year, saying the latter allowed the entry of four men, personnel of a manpower firm, who are suspected of stealing power lines.
Catacutan said the missing cables are back-up systems of the runway. But Luciano said the stolen cables are old power lines of the airport perimeter illumination.
When asked if he will accept the CIAC presidency if the President designated him, Catacutan replied that he is a good soldier and he will heed the president's call.
Catacutan will face incumbent Capas Mayor TJ Rodriguez in the mayoralty race.
