MACABEBE -- Governor Lilia Pineda led Monday the inauguration of the newly constructed Mayor Domingo B. Flores District Hospital (MDBFDH) in Barangay Batasan, this town.
This hospital was formerly known as the Macabebe District Hospital but was named after the late father of Mayor Annette Flores-Balgan by virtue of a resolution passed by the Provincial Board.
"Masaya po ang aming buong pamilya sapagkat dream come true ito para sa amin," the lady mayor said.
Pineda said the 25-bed hospital is aimed to reach out to the underprivileged Kapampangans who have no means of paying bills for their health needs.
"Ing pakisabi kumu pu ke kayu keni, nung alang ala ya talaga ing pasyente, akit yune man ing kayang kapasidad. Palwalan yune. Ali yune papamayaran," she said.
The Provincial Government spent close to P14 million for the new building and rehabilitation of one already existing structure.
For the instruments and other hospital equipments, Pineda said an additional P3 million has been allocated to ensure that the health needs of residents here and in neighboring towns are properly addressed.
