MACCII to host 2012 revenue updates with BIR

ANGELES CITY — The Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (MACCII) will be hosting a Revenue Update seminar with the Bureau of Internal revenue (BIR) on February 16 at the Angeles Business Center Bldg. here.
The event, according to MACCII president Frankie Villanueva, is part of the regular MACCII Breakfast Meeting Club organized by the chamber to provide information, skills and updates to members on the many issues and trends in the business sector here.

The event will be facilitated by BIR OIC Revenue District Rosalina Legaspi.
Villanueva said the event will give members here an idea of the various tax measures being implemented by the BIR.
Expected to be discussed in the meeting are the salient features of RA 9504 exempt minimum wage earners from income tax on their statutory minimum wage; holiday pay; overtime pay; night shift differential; and hazard pay.
Also to be discussed in the meeting are new policies of the BIR. Concerns of the local businessmen here will also be addressed in the meeting.
