ARAYAT - Mayor Luis Espino said he is grateful to his fellow mayors for endorsing him to run for vice governor in next year's elections.
In an exclusive interview with Sun.Star Pampanga on Friday, which coincided with the monthly medical mission held in Barangay Guemasan, Espino said he is overwhelmed with the show of support given by his fellow mayors.

Espino said it is indeed a great honor to be considered and endorsed by majority of the members of the Pampanga Mayors' League (PML).
"Malaking karangalan sa akin at sa aking pamilya ang mapabilang sa mga napupusuan ng aking mga kasamahang mayors bilang kandidato sa pagka-bise gobernador ng ating lalawigang Kapampangan," Espino said.
The three-term mayor however said that as of the moment, his focus is to finish his term as local chief executive of this first-class municipality, adding that the continuity of his priority projects and programs in health services, education, infrastructure, livelihood, environmental conservation, agriculture, sport development, senior citizens and peace and order are still his top priorities.
Espino added that many, if not all, of his programs are in support to the priority projects of Governor Lilia Pineda.
Earlier, a source close to the PML revealed a majority of mayors reportedly signified their support for Espino vice gubernatorial bid.
The same source, who asked anonymity, believes Espino is the "best" choice for vice governor, saying his closeness to Pineda and his fellow mayors is "unquestionable".
In a related story, some 500 residents of Barangays Guemasan and Paralaya were given free medicines, check-up and dental by Espino, Vice Mayor Larry Trinidad, Municipal Council members and Liga ng mga Barangay President Julio "Junior" Espino.
Meanwhile, some 300 children of the Guemasan Elementary School were treated to a hot meal (lugaw) during a feeding program also sponsored by Espino's group in cooperation with the MSWD.
The monthly medical mission, which started January 2011, already benefited thousands of residents in ten barangays here. Another 20 barangays are next in line for the medical and dental mission of the local government unit for this year and next year.
Also present during the event are Vice Mayor Larry Trinidad, Councilors Pogi Mallari, Che Lumbang; Edith Kabigting; Pines Alejandrino; Jeff Luriz; ABC president Junior Espino, chairmen Manuel Suba (Guemasan); Dong Alejandrino (Poblacion); Supt. Samuel Sevilla, Arayat chief of police; Executive Sec. Ador Pineda, Dr. Tayag and Dr. Quizon and other officials. (Chris Navarro)
