CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —- Board Member Tarcicio Halili filed Wednesday a resolution recommending the creation of an eco-tourism committee that will further plan, study and implement developmental activities in the province.
Halili, during the Provincial Board’s (PB) regular session Wednesday, said the committee will be tasked to enhance the attractiveness of eco-adventures to local and foreign tourists.

This came as Governor Lilia Pineda has started the Nabuclod Upland Eco-Adventure Tourism in Floridablanca town.
The unending potentials of Barangay Nabuclod as a tourist destination if properly planned and developed can compete with several tourism attractions in the country.
“The initial development of Nabuclod, introduced by Gov. Pineda, has already attracted a lot of local tourists and some balikabayan guests,” Halili said. The said project is a source of livelihood for Aetas in Floridablanca.
Halili said the eco-tourism committee will be tasked to ensure that all tourism initiatives will run parallel with the development plans of the Provincial and National Government.
He added that the committee will also make sure that all development plans are within standards for local and international tourists. Among the tasks of the committee is the creation of a tourism master plan for each tourism development.
“Preparation of a master plan and creation of Nabuclod Eco-Adventure Tourism Committee is recommended to Gov. Pineda to assist her in leaving a legacy that benefit future generations of Kapampangans and Aetas,” Halili said.
