CANDABA -- The town of Candaba is now reshaping its tourism landscape, as several tourists’ facilities such as resorts have mushroomed in some villages here.
Among the resorts put up in this town are the “God is Great All the Time” or GIGATT resort in Barangay Pasig, Lola Corazon’s Leisure Farm in Barangay Talang, and another one in Barangay Gulap.
GIGATT has swimming pools both for adults and children, air-conditioned guest rooms, pavilion, multi-purpose hall and cottages.
Lola Corazon’s Leisure Farm amenities include a pavilion, swimming pool, conference room, boating and fishing, air-conditioned rooms, nipa huts, rest house, gazebo and umbrellas.
Jef Jef Wetland Resort was formally opened to the public last Friday. It is located in Barangay Lanang, on the other side of Arayat-Apalit setback levee designed to ensure the safety of its guests in all instances.
Jef Jef Wetland Resort offers a restaurant, zip line-cable car, swimming pools, boating, fishing, lotus farm, mango picking, pavilion, bird watching and bump car.
Mayor Jerry Pelayo’s tourism program has placed this in the map by turning the former rebel-infested place into a bird sanctuary.
“Naging tahimik ang bayan at nakikilala pa tayo hindi lang sa ating bansa kung maging sa buong mundo pagdating sa turismo,” Pelayo in a previous interview told Sun.Star Pampanga.
The Ibon-Ebon Festival features the municipality of Candaba as the home of thousands of migratory birds from different parts of the globe.
The same festival also showcases its growing duck-egg industry.
