CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- An official from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) said Monday that they are deputizing personnel of the Kapampangan a Lulugud at Matapat (Kalam) in the implementation of the anti-overloading law in the province.
“Bear in mind that you are representing the Provincial Government and the LTO as deputies, so do your duties well as what you do would benefit the entire province and its populace,” Ronal Dabu, Bataan LTO chief of office, told Kalam personnel.
Dabu discussed the do’s and don’ts in apprehending the violators.
He also stressed that such task is a very big responsibility and must be done with utmost seriousness and professionalism.
This came as the Provincial Government conducted a one-day seminar on the deputation of the Kalam -- the implementing arm of quarry operations in the province on the anti-overloading law.
The activity aims to effectively and efficiently implement Republic Act 8794, or the law governing the anti-overloading.
Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Officer Arthur Punzalan said the same is designed to provide the participants with adequate knowledge on the anti-overloading law.
He said close coordination with the LTO and the Department of Public Works and Highways are being undertaken by the province to ensure that all pertinent angles in the law implementation are sufficiently covered.
