CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) and the Occupation Safety Center in Central Luzon will hold on Tuesday, July 17, the Occupational Safety Health information campaign involving entities in Central Luzon.
The 13th National Occupational Safety and Health Congress will be held at the Sugar Workers Training and Livelihood Center (SWTLC) – Dole in Central Luzon in the City of San Fernando
According to labor communications officer Jerry Borja, the conference aims to “strengthen and promote the safety and health among workers in all industries and workplaces in the region.”
Borja said OSHC Executive Director Ma. Teresita Cucueco will visit not only Central Luzon, but other regions as well, to advocate the OSH programs and activities.
Cucueco said with the help of Dole Central Luzon there are now good occupational safety and health programs and activities being implemented in the region.
"Because of this, we will now be recognizing those with exemplary OSH contributions through the GKK and explore new strategies in keeping workers safe and healthy through the NOSH Congress,” said Cucueco.
Cucueco said the GKK and NOSH Congress will be held at the Occupational Safety and Health Center, Quezon City, on October 24 to 25, 2012.
