MASANTOL — Some 400 indigents from Barangay Malauili here were able to avail themselves of free medical and dental services from health volunteers during a medical and dental mission held over the weekend.
The activity was conducted in cooperation of 4th district Board Member Ricardo Yabut.
The event was also made possible with the help of doctors from the Jose B. Lingad Regional Memorial Hospital and volunteers from the Philippine National Army and the Philippine National Police.
Yabut said the participating dentists were from the 703rd Infantry Brigade under Colonel Gregorio Catapang augmented by the doctors under the leadership of Dr. Marcelo Jaochico of the Provincial Health Office.
“This mission aims to bring medical services to far-flung barangays like this one and address some of their minor ailments through the help of our volunteers,” Yabut said. (Ian Ocampo Flora)
