CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Capitol is conducting an immediate inventory of households, particularly in the fourth district towns of Macabebe, Masantol, and San Simon that were affected by flooding brought about by continuous downpours.
Board Member Ricardo Yabut announced this Monday after met with barangay captains from the towns and Governor Lilia Pineda at the Executive House to assess the situation and prepare the necessary assistance for affected residents there.
“We are now conducting a thorough inventory of affected households in Masantol, Macabebe, and San Simon. Some of the barangays there have been submerged in floodwaters although the situation is not alarming and the Capitol is on top of the situation,” Yabut told Sun.Star Pampanga.
He said the inventory would give Capitol the necessary data needed for preparation of assistance, much that disaster prevention, intervention, and response measures have long been in place.
“We need the actual data for us to respond accordingly. Rest assured, Capitol is not sleeping on this and our monitoring and action centers are on the alert,” said Yabut.
