CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Governor Lilia Pineda ordered mayors here to implement their respective disaster response plans, a day before majority of the province’s barangays have been hit by floodwater.
Pineda, in a meeting with the Pampanga Mayors League at the Capitol’s Executive House, reminded the mayors of the importance of disaster response plans.
“I have also asked the mayors to step up efforts in monitoring and helping reduce the number of dengue cases in the province. There are lots of dengue cases and some of these are not properly documented. The health action centers will help in this move and we hope to reduce the number of dengue cases soon,” Pineda said.
She said they are now setting up action centers in towns with district and provincial hospitals to further monitor the health of local residents and indigents in the grassroots level.
She added the centers will be located in various towns of the province, and would be the staging areas for quick disaster response initiatives.
