CANDABA -- Locals on Wednesday lauded the Pampanga I Electric Cooperative Inc. (Pelco I) and AES Philippines for distributing relief goods here.
According to them, this initiative is timely as most of the resident-beneficiaries are still unable to work with most communities inundated.
"Nagpapasalamat po kami dahil nabigyan kami ng biyaya lalo na ngayon na hindi pa gaanong nagbabalik sa normal ang aming sitwasyon," Antonio Morales, a resident here said.
Pelco 1 director Medic Pelayo said they distributed some 750 packs of relief goods to residents of flood-hit barangays in the town.
Pelayo said the activity is part of their corporate social responsibility and is a simple way of giving back the favor to the areas within their operation.
"Karamihan sa amin ay tricycle drivers at nakikipag arawan lamang kaya malaking bagay ang ganitong relief," another resident here lamented.
Meanwhile, it was learned that AES Philippines has been providing relief goods to its host communities in the wake of calamities.
AES is a global company that provides affordable and sustainable energy in 29 countries worldwide through our 27,000-strong workforce that’s committed to excellence, safety and reliability.
